Dr. Jeffrey Camper: Local Snakes

Using photographs and live specimens, Dr. Camper will discuss the different snake species that are found throughout South Carolina.
Jeffrey Camper was born in Aurora, IL and began catching garter snakes at seven years old. He received a BS in Zoology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, an MA in Biology from Drake University, and a Ph.D. in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University. Dr. Camper has been teaching genetics, evolutionary biology, comparative anatomy & herpetology at Francis Marion University since 1994.
