Junior Curators at the Horry County Museum

Horry County Museum 805 Main Street, Conway

Join us for free 30 minute Saturday activities at the Farm! Parents can sign children up for one of four half hour sessions starting at 9 AM. Group sizes will be limited to 5 children per session to help ensure social distancing. On May 22nd children will learn about barometers and how they can be used to help predict the weather.

Horry County Museum Lecture Series: Hurricane Preparedness Talk

Warmer weather means the start of summer at the Grand Strand but it also means that hurricane season is coming. Join Thomas Bell, Public Information Officer with Horry County Emergency Management, as he discusses what you need to do to be prepared. Visitors will also have a look at what the Emergency Operations Center does during a storm to ensure Horry County is ready for impacts. Whether you are new to the area, or just need a few refreshers on preparedness, this presentation will provide you with steps to get through the season. Come with questions!
The program will be held on May 22nd at 1 PM in the McCown Auditorium located at 805 Main Street, Conway SC. This event is free and open to the public.
