The 2019 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with Lions in Blue & Gray. This locally produced documentary tells the story of Civil War generals Joshua Chamberlain and Stonewall Jackson.
As Colonel of the 20th Maine Infantry, Joshua Chamberlain is credited by many as saving the battle of Gettysburg for the Union Army through his defense of Little Round Top. Stonewall Jackson was renowned as a southern military genius and was known as General Robert E. Lee’s “right arm” before his death following the battle of Chancellorsville.
The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 10th, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
